Sedulous Collective CIC (Sedulous) is a dynamic, purpose-driven community-interest company laser-focused on community solutions, decisive action and measurable impact. We wield participatory research, collaborative co-design and community-led evaluation not as end goals, but as powerful tools for shifting resources, policy and power into the hands of London’s marginalised and under-represented residents.
Born out of the award-winning Cost of Living & Multiple Long-Term Health Conditions project—funded by Impact on Urban Health—Sedulous took shape in 2024 after four years of frontline insight-gathering inside The Social Innovation Partnership and Centric Community Research. Operating from Brixton and Stockwell, we now partner across every London borough to ensure no community is left behind.
Our highly diverse team blends deep lived experience with data fluency and an unshakeable commitment to social justice, co-creating services that genuinely work for the people they’re meant to serve. This authenticity infuses every project with empathy, cultural relevance and bold thinking that traditional approaches overlook.
Rejecting extractive, top-down research models, we prioritise grassroots, community-driven methods. Our commitment to decolonising research amplifies voices too often silenced, while our synergy of local activism and academic rigour produces insights that resonate with residents, policymakers and funders alike. Through our 4D framework (Discover → Define → Develop → Deliver) – and a robust follow-up evaluation cycle – we convert evidence into enduring policy, programmes and place-based innovations.
Sedulous is more than a research outfit; we are a catalyst for empowerment, transformation and collective action. From our award-winning projects to “Nuff Sed,” the community knowledge-exchange series unpicking “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly of Participatory Research,” we keep power where it belongs: with those who live the issues every day.
Join us as we build a fairer, more inclusive city — one project, one partnership, one community at a time.
We envision a more inclusive, cohesive and sustainable society in London and the UK where every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. By challenging systemic inequalities and working collaboratively with communities, stakeholders and policymakers, we aspire to contribute to a city where diversity is celebrated, barriers are dismantled and all residents have equal access to resources, services and opportunities. Our long-term goal is to help create a London that stands as a model for social equity and cohesion.
