With a profound commitment to social justice and community development, Bukola Joel leads Sedulous Collective CIC’s people and project initiatives with purpose and dedication. As a passionate advocate for community cohesion, Bukola’s experience spans across youth engagement, skill-building and advocacy for marginalised communities.
Her work with young children, adult women and diverse ethnic groups as a qualified youth work practitioner and project manager has solidified her dedication to fostering spaces where communities can thrive and have a voice in shaping policies that impact their lives.
Bukola’s journey includes roles as a community skills development facilitator at Beyond Braidz and project manager with Centric Community Research, where her work deepened her commitment to promoting equality, especially in health and wellbeing. Her vision for a society without barriers to access drives her work at Sedulous CIC, where she is responsible for both team management and project oversight. In her role as Head of People & Projects, Bukola oversees HR, learning and development and ensures that teams are equipped to deliver impactful projects that align with Sedulous CIC’s mission.
“I’m driven by impact,” Bukola shares, “and I believe that empowering teams creates a ripple effect of positive change.” Her passion for creating a supportive, well-equipped workforce fuels her dedication to Sedulous CIC’s goals of social equity and cohesive teamwork.
Outside of work, Bukola is inspired by stories of resilience and change. She envisions a future where community voices are heard and valued, and she continues to champion initiatives that empower individuals to engage in their communities and shape meaningful policies.
