Ryan is a passionate advocate for social justice and an entrepreneurial spirit dedicated to creating meaningful change in underrepresented communities. His journey began with a deep drive to challenge inequities and amplify voices often overlooked. Joining Sedulous Collective CIC perfectly aligns with his mission, providing a platform where creativity, advocacy and business converge to make a tangible impact.

With extensive experience in local government and public services, Ryan has honed expertise in operational management, communication and community engagement. He has led transformative projects with organisations such as Public Health England and the Metropolitan Police, focusing on advancing equity and justice. As the founder of Community Sparks Change, Ryan has pioneered initiatives leveraging sports, arts and mentoring to tackle employability challenges and crime prevention in Lambeth. His commitment to empowering marginalised communities has been recognised through impactful partnerships with local councils, charities and businesses.

At Sedulous, Ryan leads community-driven initiatives that address systemic inequities, particularly those affecting males and underserved groups. He develops strategic partnerships, designs inclusive programmes and ensures the organisation’s projects resonate deeply with the communities they serve. His work is instrumental in advancing Sedulous’ mission to foster a more equitable society by equipping individuals with the tools and resources to thrive.

Ryan’s approach is rooted in a profound belief in the power of collective action and the potential of entrepreneurship to bridge societal divides. For him, social justice is more than a goal—it’s a guiding principle that shapes every endeavour. He is committed to dismantling barriers, amplifying marginalised voices and creating opportunities for lasting change.

Drawing inspiration from the resilience of the communities he serves and leaders like Angela Davis, Ryan finds fuel for his advocacy in books such as The New Jim Crow and How to Be an Antiracist. He is especially motivated by grassroots movements that showcase the strength of unity and collaboration in driving impactful change.

Outside of his work, Ryan channels his energy into boxing, valuing its therapeutic and empowering effects. A fusion cooking enthusiast, he enjoys blending flavours from his heritage with modern twists. On weekends, you can find him exploring local markets or hiking trails, always seeking new ways to connect with nature and creativity.
